I was recently impressed with a gardening hacks article that appeared on the GreenUpgrader.com website about clever people creating unexpectedly efficient little gardens out of tires, gutters and shoe bags. I feel inspired and may copy one or two of the ideas this spring.

Another clever albeit less practical garden hack crossed my consciousness today. It is the living plant dress, also known as Sprinkle, The Dress To Water. I guess it's a translation thing, but her explanation of its provenance was a little unsettling: “I dreamed of caressing the grass under the hot sun and feeling the cool tinkle of water games.” And that's why she created what looks sort of like a trampy wedding dress out of yogurt cups, garden wire and feathery grass.
